Ode to 250

There's a great deal to celebrate this 4th of July. Anniversaries are rare, such as they are. Having just celebrated our own 50th in 2024, we've been around for a good portion of the 250 years that the United States has been sovereign soil.

Those 250 years are special. Special for the highs and lows alike, for there are many. And, as we head to barbecues and lakes and our favorite golf courses this weekend, we should remember that these vestiges of peace are brought forth through sacrifices we honor in reverence.

As we expand here off of Exit 8, we remember those sacrifices. Building this space has not been an easy process, yet we carry grace in the memory that we have an opportunity to do so because of those who came before.

The United States is not perfect. In many respects, it never will be. That's the beauty of this land, after all. It's the continuous pursuit of something better that emboldens the American Spirit. To hold the discourse and conversation necessary wherein we may find common ground and seek out a better path forward for all who live on this soil and our partnerships around the globe.

It is a land where we may live, love, and play golf in relative peace. For that, we are eternally grateful.

For that, we raise our glasses and toast to the next 250.

To the United States, our home—land of the free, home of the brave—let us all do the work to make it better, together.

(And maybe play a good bit of golf along the way.)
