How do I know what shaft flex is right for me?

Swing speed is the starting point: under 85 mph typically suits Regular flex, 85–95 mph suits Stiff, and above 95 mph suits X-Stiff. But tempo, transition, and ball flight all factor in — which is why a fitting gives you a far more accurate answer than any chart can.
