Putters

Blades are slim and traditional, suited to a slight arc in the putting stroke. Mallets are larger with higher MOI, more forgiving, and suited to a straight-back, straight-through stroke. Neither is universally better — it depends on your natural stroke path and what feels right at address.

Most golfers use 33–35 inches, depending on height and setup posture. The right length keeps your eyes directly over the ball at address. A putter fitting checks this quickly and accurately.

A face-balanced putter has a shaft design that causes the face to point straight up when balanced on your finger. It reduces face rotation through the stroke, making it best suited to golfers with a straight-back, straight-through putting style.

Zero-torque putters, most notably pioneered by L.A.B. Golf with their "Lie Angle Balance" technology, are engineered to eliminate the natural twisting (torque) that occurs during a putting stroke.

While traditional putters often want to open or close depending on their weight distribution, a zero-torque putter is balanced to stay perfectly square to your arc throughout the entire motion. Think of it like power steering for your short game—by removing the need to manually "fight" the putter to keep the face square, you get a more consistent, repeatable stroke that stays on its intended line with much less effort.
